GIS Analyst I

Job Summary:

Ardurra is seeking a GIS Analyst I to join our growing geospatial team in Cody, Wyoming.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their geospatial career who’s ready to apply their skills across a wide variety of projects.

As a GIS Analyst I, you’ll support the development, maintenance, and visualization of spatial data using tools like ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Civil 3D.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team where geospatial thinking drives real-world decisions.

Essential Functions:

• Create, edit, and manage geospatial data and mapping products for internal and client-facing projects
• Support the development of interactive applications using ArcGIS Online and associated tools
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and scientists across Ardurra’s service lines
• Research, compile, and review spatial data
• Document processes and contribute to reports, presentations, and SOPs

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; or 2+ years of relevant geospatial experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• In-depth knowledge in the principles of GIS including data sources, data projections and coordinate systems, data QA/QC, and data integration.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, including map creation, data editing, and analysis
• Knowledge of geoprocessing tools using ESRI built-in tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and collaborate in a team environment
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office or similar products

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ArcGIS Online tools like Dashboards, Experience Builder, Field Maps, or Survey123
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and CAD-to-GIS workflows
• Knowledge of scripting (Python, Arcade, or ModelBuilder) to automate workflows and tasks
• Knowledge of relational databases and concepts (SQL Server, Oracle)
• Experience with raster analysis including imagery and topography
• Exposure to transportation, utility, airport, or asset management GIS projects
• Willingness to perform duties outside of the basic job description and quickly expand skillset into new areas

Salary Range

$57,500 - $62,500 (DOE)
