Medical Records Clerk (Part time)

Position: Medical Records Clerk

AdamsPlace is looking for a part-time Medical Record Clerk to join our team! The position assists the Health Information Team with clerical and other duties established for the medical record keeping practices.

Position Highlights:

Are determined by the center and may include, but are not limited to the following:


* Ensure upon admission of patients that the Admission Summery Sheet is properly and completely filled out and any preliminary forms are initiated.


* Determine upon admission of patients whether additional transfer data is needed and obtain missing information.


* Scan and upload records into the patient chart.


* Check the EHR quantitatively on admission and periodically (once per month minimum) to assure completeness, accuracy, and internal consistency.

Experience


* Minimum of 1-3 years of previous experience working in the field of Health Information preferred.


* Certification of CCS, CCA, or CPC-A preferred.


* High school graduate or equivalent.


* Be able to type and understand the Medical Record Systems, including filing.

Understand and utilize medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, coding principles, concurrent and Discharge Analysis Procedures, scanning and attention to detail.


* Possess personal attributes to include professionalism, neatness, accuracy, articulates pleasantly and cooperative with all staff.
