Full Time Cook

✨ What You'll Do:


* Prepare and cook a variety of delicious meals in large quantities following set menus and portion control guidelines


* Safely accommodate special diets and prepare texture-modified foods (e.g., purees)


* Keep the kitchen sparkling clean, organized, and up to health standards


* Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safety


* Help with meal service and clean-up, including carts and serving areas


* Make sure meals look as good as they taste—presentation matters!


* Support and train new team members as needed


* Step into a supervisory role when the Dietary Supervisor is off duty


* Collaborate closely with all departments to support the best resident care

?‍? What We're Looking For:


* High school diploma or equivalent


* At least 1 year of experience cooking in a hospital, long-term care, or similar setting


* Ability to follow recipes, understand dietary needs, and prepare food safely


* ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)


* A team player with great communication and problem-solving skills


* Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and being on your feet for most of the shift


* Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus


* Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health
