Bank Services Operations Associate II

Job Summary

The Bank Services Operations Associate II is responsible for performing cross-functional duties to support the deposit operation area including processing servicing requests, balancing reconciling duties, maintain various account reporting and records, resolving both internal and external customer issues and performs duties independently with minimal managerial oversight.  

 

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Processes and reviews daily ACH activity and return deposited items, as well as exception item processing, Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), Wire Transfer processing, commercial analysis and billing file production and unresolved or pending items.  

• Perform tasks relating to the Bank’s debit card portfolio, including resolving issues with card ordering and printing, reissuing cards, EFT adjustments, ATM deposit adjustments, card limit increases, compromised cards, fraud cases, and cardholder disputes

• Performs document administration and management tasks to file, safe keep, image, and audit documents.  

• Prepares appropriate customer correspondence and notices.

• Takes ownership of special projects as assigned, problem resolution on deposit products and services, identifying the issue, resolving, and following up with customer to ensure satisfaction. 

• Assists with reviewing, processing, and performing daily operational duties including workflows.

• Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, department procedures and policies, and regulations to ensure accurate handling of inquiries.

• Cross-trains to perform other functions and duties assigned in Bank Services.

• Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

 

Job Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

Required:

• 3+ years’ experience in a financial institution required, preferably in a back-office operations or card services area.

• Basic knowledge of accounting, balancing principals, and bank operations.

• Demonstrated technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Initiative and accuracy required, as well as an understanding of regulatory requirements and risk operations to minimize/eliminate potential loss.  

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
