Outbound Team Leader, Picking 2nd Shift

Essential Job Duties:


* Perform team lead functions, including ensuring all picking deadlines and priority cut-off times are met.


* Review daily pick errors with pickers.


* Ensure all waves are printed, distributed, and picked to meet deadlines while maintaining a first-in-first-out concept.


* Identify special instructions on pick tickets to comply with salesperson requests.


* Conduct timely research to locate products and prevent backorders.


* Help attract and retain a qualified and motivated workforce, fostering new ideas for improvements.


* Continuously develop direct reports by coaching and grooming them for excellence.

Document progress and ensure associates are cross-trained to provide adequate coverage in key processes.


* Assist with evaluating employee performance, handling disciplinary issues, and maintaining an environment of respect and accountability to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.


* Track and maintain productivity standards, assessing staff, supplies, and equipment needs.


* Maintain a "Tour Ready" clean and safe work area and secure building/operations at the end of the shift.


* Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements: (In compliance with ADA)


* The ability to understand basic English.


* Ability to stand, stoop, lift, walk, and perform manual dexterity.


* Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position.


* Ability to lift up to 70 pounds as needed.


* Ability to travel less than 20%.


* Ability to operate related equipment.

Reporting Relationships:


* Reports to the Outbound Operations Supervisor.


* Interacts with internal management staff, coworkers, customers, corporate office, sales teams, vendors, etc.
