Technology Support II - Linux/Oracle

As a Technology Support II team member in the Commercial & Investment Bank, y ou will be responsible for supporting critical payments applications that are essential to our global banking operations.

You will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows, supporting several critical payments applications.

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.

Job responsibilities


* Analyze and troubleshoot production application flows to ensure end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery supporting the business operations of the firm


* Improve operational stability and availability through participation in problem management


* Monitor production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools


* Assist in the escalation and communication of issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholders


* Identify trends and assist in the management of incidents, problems, and changes in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services


* Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and Oracle databases


* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure


* Strong communication and collaboration skills


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team


* Experience with DevOps practices and tools

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Experience with cloud technologies, Kubernetes, NoSQL database.


* Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation purposes.


* Experience with Monitoring Tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, Geneos, Cloud watch, OpenSearch


* Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
