As a Patent Attorney in the Technology and Intellectual Property Legal Team, you will oversee the invention intake process, coordinate patent prosecution efforts, and engage in inventor outreach and education.

You will acquire in-depth knowledge of the relevant line of business and develop effective protection strategies aligned with the strategic priorities of business partners.

This role provides the opportunity to support the firm's most innovative initiatives, including the development of new products and services, research and development, and external partnerships.

Job responsibilities:


* Oversee the invention intake process, including the evaluation of invention disclosures and the formulation of appropriate protection strategies.


* Coordinate patent prosecution efforts with outside counsel, ensuring the review of draft applications and office action responses to maintain high-quality work and service standards.


* Engage in inventor outreach and education, participate in invention harvesting and brainstorming sessions, and contribute to both internal and external innovation-related events.


* Acquire in-depth knowledge of the relevant line of business and develop effective protection strategies aligned with the strategic priorities of business partners.


* Offer legal guidance to business partners on intellectual property issues.


* Keep abreast of changes in patent laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and maintain a strategic edge.


* Support other intellectual property-related matters as needed.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, with an active license to practice law in a U.S.

jurisdiction.
