As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - The Decom Factory, you will develop expertise in software, applications, and technical processes related to infrastructure engineering.

The Decom Factory, in partnership with Infrastructure Platforms (IP), is tasked with executing comprehensive decommissioning of hosting platforms and backend infrastructure.

This involves consolidating both logical and physical activities across Infrastructure Platforms.

The IP Decom Factory acts as the central hub for all decommissioning efforts, whether complete or partial, including application decommissioning, data center relocations, and the partial decommissioning of team member hosts, operating system instances, databases, web servers, and storage.

You will collaborate closely with Line of Business clients, IP partner teams, and engineering groups to create standardized, resilient operating environments at all Global Data Centers and Remote Sites.

Your role will involve coordinating and managing logical and physical asset decommissions as requested by clients, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and quality standards.

You will handle client escalations professionally, participate in project meetings, and use metrics to document performance.

Additionally, you will focus on process improvements to boost the efficiency and quality of the server decommissioning function.

Collaboration with various teams, including Engineering, Operations, Monitoring, Storage, Networks, Backup, DCO, Application Owners, Line of Business, and Project Managers, is crucial to successfully implement critical decommissioning initiatives.

Job responsibilities



* Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met


* Drives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completion


* Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters


* Escalates issues to appropriate leaders


* Develops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.


* Data Center Infrastructure Experience: At least 3 years of experience in delivering data center infrastructure products and services, including server, storage, and networking.


* Project Coordination : Minimum of 2 years of experience in coordinating projects and technical resources.
