Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

As the Senior Director, Head of Research Systems Engineering, you will be responsible for:

Technology Roadmap Development:


* Strategically own, define, and progress the technology roadmap to enhance laboratory computing capabilities for pharmaceutical R&D operations, including embedding of automation, artificial intelligence and advanced data management into laboratory workflows


* Ensure alignment with overall business objectives and innovation goals of the organization.

Leadership and Team Management:


* Lead a diverse global team of engineers and technologists, providing guidance and support in developing cutting-edge research systems.


* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence within the team.

Stakeholder Engagement:


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, IT, and operations, to gather requirements and identify opportunities for technology integration.


* Offer strategic insight into how technology should best be deployed across multiple therapeutic modalities including Small Molecules, Protein therapeutics, Cell and Gene Therapy and other advanced modalities


* Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Product Management:


* Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of investments in research systems technology products, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.


* Utilize agile methodologies to enhance project responsiveness and effectiveness.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:


* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in laboratory computing and analytical tools, proposing initiatives to leverage these advancements.


* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance R&D operational efficiency.

Compliance and Risk Management:


* Ensure all systems and processes comply with industry regulations and quality standards specifically GXP processes.


* Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard R&D operations.

Qualifications:


* Education: Master’s or Ph.D.
