Senior Underwriter, Technology

JOB DESCRIPTION

Chubb is seeking a highly motivated, results oriented Senior Commercial Lines Technology Underwriter to join our industry leading technology practice in our Southeast Region, while sitting in our Alpharetta, GA branch.

This role involves managing a renewal book and generating new business, with a focus on driving profitable growth through collaboration with assigned agents and brokers.

The product portfolio includes Package, Property, General Liability, Auto, Worker's Compensation, Umbrella/Excess, Technology Cyber/E&O and International lines of business for a wide variety of customer types in this niche space.

Role Responsibilities

The Production Underwriter will:


* Oversee the financial performance, including profit, rate, retention, and growth, of the assigned book.


* Establish and develop relationships with key distribution partners to drive submission activity in our Southeast Region.


* This role will be supporting our Southeast Region which consists of branches in Georgia, North Caroline, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee.

Travel to assigned branches at minimum on a quarterly basis, as needed.


* Meet or exceed new business production goal of around $1.5M and Renewal Book of approximately $9M, this is subject to change, while maintaining profitability across assigned portfolio and adhering to authority and underwriting strategies.

Includes knowledge and achievement of desired pre-bind metrics (Submissions, Quote Ratio, Hit Ratio, Efficiency Ratio) to facilitate profitable growth and achieve production goals.


* Strong Focus on developing a prospect pipeline 5x new business production goal with assigned distribution partners using advanced company prospecting tools and strong marketplace visibility of 12+ external visits per month.


* Identify growth opportunities within new and existing production sources, and develop and execute a strategic plan for new business growth, including prospect development.


* Achieve successful market penetration and manage agency relationships by building, maintaining, and nurturing producer and customer connections.


* In conjunction with Underwriter Associate, meet or exceed rate, exposure, and retention goals to achieve desired profitability on renewal book by retaining key assigned branch accounts and leading coordination of Loss Control, Claims and other value-added service plans for service level accounts.

Includes developing client relationships.


* Develop understanding of products and engage with other Chubb Business Units to aggressively cross-sell all Chubb Products and Solutions through agent/broker's and existing client relationships.

Includes but is not limited to, Multi-National, Environmental, Ocean Cargo, Financial Lines, Product-Recall, E&O, A&H, etc.


* Develop and maintain internal relationships with local branch, Territory Underwriting Manager, Line of business/Industry Practice Leaders and Home Office personal.
