What you'll do on a typical day:


* Lead the planning and execution of large-scale IT projects (software, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.)


* Develop project scopes, detailed work plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports


* Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project delivery


* Coordinate geographically dispersed project teams for data integrations, system consolidations, software development, business onboarding projects and other tasks


* Identify and mitigate risks, manage changes, and resolve issues


* Recommend IT strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identify problems, assess trends and anticipate requirements


* Forecast requirements to accomplish financial objectives; prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures and research variances


* Foster collaboration across departments and manage stakeholder communication


* Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience


* 5 years of IT project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior/lead capacity


* Experience with testing the quality of data produced by project teams, researching data and effectively explaining results to business analysts


* Extensive breadth of experience delivering complex projects within budget and scope


* Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)


* Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools


* Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments

It'd be great if you also have:


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering


* 5+ years of experience as an IT project manager


* PMP, CSM, NRF Retail or Supply Chain certifications
