General Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for managing SECO's annual overhead and underground facility inspection programs and pole attachment activities and coordinate the development, modification, and bidding of related contracts and serve as the operations point of contact for third-party contractors.

Responsibilities include coordinating contractors performing inspections and pole attachments to ensure facilities meet SECO's established standards.

This role also involves updating the GIS database to reflect actual field conditions of all distribution facilities and land base features.

In addition, will also coordinate inspection and attachment activities, monitor contractor performance, address complaints and member inquiries, and resolve issues related to PSC inspections and attachments.

This role is expected to carry out all responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws and may provide support coverage for the Director of Engineering and Operations Support.

Requirements

Education



* Minimum: Two (2) year associate degree in business, geography, computer science or engineering related field


* Minimum: Remote Pilot Certification from the FAA


* Preferred: Four (4) year bachelor's degree in business, geography, computer science or engineering related field.


* Two-Year certificate program is accepted in lieu of the 2-year associate degree or Job-related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience



* Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an electric water or gas utility maintaining facility assets and pole attachment


* Minimum requirement of prior experience with RUS construction standards, materials and pole attachment specification

Other Requirements



* Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including a personal computer, printers, copy machines and telephone.


* Ability to work irregular hours for assignment completion and flexibility to change scheduling and report to work on short notice during emergency situations.


* A valid Florida driver's license for regular driving privileges of a company vehicle; must have and maintain an acceptable driving record as determined by SECO Energy.


* Frequent business travel to all areas of service territory required.


* Normal work hours shall be eight (8) hours between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
