Sales Support Specialist (Rotational Role)

Grain & Protein Technologies is a global organization with nearly 4,000 employees who develop technological solutions for farmers.

Through products such as silos, grain drying and moving equipment, and connected controllers to improve animal welfare, the company's mission is to provide smart solutions to ensure sustainable agriculture.

The North America team is seeking a Sales Support Specialist (Rotational role) for ourAssumption, IL facility.

The ideal candidate will provide the knowledge and experience necessary to build exceptional Customer Experience team members.

This knowledge will be gained through firsthand experience with GSI's internal processes and equipment quoting.

The candidate will rotate through the different GSI Customer Experience teams over the course of 18 months to gain the knowledge required.

Final team assignment to come at the end of the term or at the Manager's discretion.

Your Impact


* Quoting Team:
+ This phase will focus on pre-sales activities and topics regarding equipment applications, facility design, and quotations.

Will gain experience and knowledge about GSI's core equipment offering.


* Customer Service Team:
+ This phase will focus on order processing activities performed by the Customer Service Team.

Will gain experience with GSI's order entry process, draft order creation, scheduling, and backorder processing.


* Post Sales Team:
+ This phase will focus on activities performed by the Post Sales Team.

Will gain experience with processing no charge orders and addressing issues experienced by our customers.


* SIOP Production Planning:
+ This phase will focus on how GSI plans the production capacity in our factories.

Will be introduced to demand planning and forecasting by attending planning meetings.

Your Experience and Qualifications


* B.S Degree in Business, Engineering, or Agriculture is preferred but not required


* Strong interpersonal skills, can approach people proactively


* Able to quickly adapt to a fast changing environment


* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail


* Customer focused


* Self-driven, accountable, and trustworthy

Your Compensation and Benefits

Expected annual salary for this role will be $55,000 - $65,000, plus a 7% bonus target.

This is dependent upon job related knowledge, experience, and skills.
