Behavior Analyst - Elizabeth Lee Black School

Overview:  

The Elizabeth Lee Black School, a nationally recognized “School of Excellence” and part of the Barber National Institute, is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavior Analyst to join our Children & Youth programs.

This role is central to supporting students with behavioral challenges through the development and implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and training of staff in evidence-based practices. 

  

We are looking for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is passionate about improving student outcomes, committed to professional excellence, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, student-centered environment.

What you’ll have: 


* Masters degree in Education, Behavior Analysis, or Psychology.


* Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.


* Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children/adolescents with behavioral, psychiatric, intellectual, or developmental disabilities.


* Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Department of Education clearance.


* Physical and emotional capacity to manage behavioral challenges in a school environment.

A typical day-to-day may include: 


* Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).


* Providing training and consultation to classroom staff on behavior plan implementation and classroom management.


* Collaborating with IEP teams and other professionals to support student success.


* Maintaining accurate documentation and data collection systems.


* Participating in crisis response and developing crisis intervention strategies.


* Communicating regularly with families and external providers to ensure continuity of care.


* Supporting student transitions, including admissions, graduation, and placement changes.


* Leading or contributing to research initiatives, professional presentations, and staff development.


* Supervising and mentoring staff pursuing certification in Behavior Analysis.


* Staying current with state and federal regulations and best practices in the field.
