Business Process Analyst I

The Riverside County Office of the Treasurer-Tax Collector is seeking a Business Process Analyst I for the Information Services Application Support (Aumentum) unit for the Riverside location .

The Business Process Analyst I will be responsible for analyzing, improving, and optimizing business processes, particularly those related to the integrated property tax system (Aumentum) and other systems.

This will include preparing and executing test cases for the implementation of the property tax system and post-go-live releases, analyzing and interpreting new or updated regulations to identify necessary system changes, and providing first-line support to staff in troubleshooting and resolving issues with the property tax system.

The most competitive candidates will have previous knowledge of property tax business process, familiarity with property tax systems or government software, and experience with SQL.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

The Business Process Analyst I is the first professional level classification in the Business Process Analyst series and typically reports to an IT Supervising Business Systems Analyst.

Incumbents are expected to perform basic and routine duties where the majority of duties can be learned in a brief period of time, are clearly defined and have established guidelines which require minimal interpretation.

Depending on departmental assignment, incumbents will typically concentrate on a specific functional module and its related business processes and functions.

The Business Process Analyst I is distinguished from the Business Process Analyst II in that the latter completes the full scope of assignments with little guidance.
