Firmwide Events Senior Java Engineer Vice President

(JPMC) Firmwide Events Team partners with businesses to deliver consistent, high-touch, distinctive client experiences.

Our events range from signature global events to small intimate programs, with a focus on new client acquisition, deepening relationships increasing flows, whilst building our brand and adhering to global standards.

Events specialists are located across the world, combining a deep local knowledge of US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC regions with the insights of a global team.

As a Firmwide Events Senior Java Engineer Vice President you will partner with the Firmwide Events and Marketing teams to coordinate the continued implementation of an end-to-end events management platform technology.

You will posses a strong background in designing and implementing scalable backend solutions using Java technologies.

In addition, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and optimize application performance.

Job responsibilities:


* Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java, with a focus on scalability and performance.


* Design and implement scalable microservices-based solutions.


* Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.


* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction and user experience.


* Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.


* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development.

Job requirements, capabilities, and skills:


* 12+ years of software development


* Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot framework, and AWS environments.


* Extensive experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.


* Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.


* A knack for benchmarking and optimization.


* Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.


* Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, designers, and platform teams.
