Georgia Pacific is seeking their next Material Coordinator in Madison, GA.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Material Coordinator to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate movement of materials throughout our warehouse and production facility.
You will play a key role in ensuring that our products are manufactured safely and delivered to our customers on time and at the highest level of quality.
This is a day shift position and the starting pay will be $27/hr.

What You Will Do
* Confirm parts, materials and specialty resources are available.
* Confirm that the right parts in the right quantity are present and accounted for prior to staging.
* Expedite materials on order to ensure required delivery.
* Working with Planning and Purchasing to obtain an estimated cost for any specialty services; acquire pricing and timing for service or repairs for equipment that will be completed off site.
* Review the weekly schedule and identify the deadline dates for specialty materials and equipment.
Interface with the Gatekeeper, Scheduler, Planner and Purchasing on a daily basis to optimize materials and services
* Utilize MP2 system to facilitate material and services acquisition for all work required.
* Ensure all parts and materials not used are either returned to the storeroom or returned to the vendor.
* Review data and track performance using required metrics.
* Participate in the daily & weekly scheduling meetings.
* Confirm availability of equipment with Scheduler, Optimizer and Gatekeeper.
* Ensure appropriate area is designated as a staging area as close to the work as possible.
* Work with Purchasing Ensure proper storage/distribution/notification of all equipment upon return after a rebuild or service.
* Ensures specialty equipment is on site,
* Collect any purchased parts or materials from receiving and move stocked inventory (kits) from stores to the designated staging area and staged appropriately.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* One year experience working as a storeroom clerk, material/parts puller or materials coordinator
* Experience operating forklift and other material handling equipment
* Experience with inventory control
* Experience with Microsoft Office products and submitting paperwork
What Will Put You Ahead
* 2 or more years' experience as a storeroom clerk, material/parts puller or materials coordinator
