Georgia-Pacific is seeking an innovative and results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team at the Prosperity, SC plywood manufacturing facility.

This role is critical to foster continuous improvement within a safety-focused, batch manufacturing environment, aligned with our Principle-Based Management (PBM®) philosophy.

The Maintenance Manager will provide strategic leadership to ensure optimal performance in safety, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and cost efficiency.

The successful candidate will drive departmental goals, enhance processes, and guide the maintenance team in achieving operational excellence.

What You Will Do



* Act as a safety steward, prioritizing employee health and safety in all processes and decisions.


* Develop and motivate hourly team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.


* Exhibit strong leadership skills to engage a diverse workforce, leveraging varied backgrounds and expertise.


* Foster and promote a culture aligned with our organizational philosophy to achieve business objectives.


* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of equipment used in plywood manufacturing and ensure adherence to scheduled maintenance.


* Manage workforce schedules using tools like Kronos Time Keeping System to drive efficiency.


* Participate in daily scheduling meetings to support work order prioritization and craft identification.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance.


* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to learn production and maintenance reporting applications.


* Proven track record in predictive, preventive, and precision maintenance improvement initiatives.


* Ability to interpret mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.


* Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting expertise (including hydraulic systems).


* Excellent oral and written communication skills to influence teamwork and drive results.

What Will Put You Ahead


* Associate's degree in engineering, industrial management, or a related field; applicable military experience is also considered.


* Certification as a Maintenance Reliability Professional.


* Experience in manufacturing wood products or similar industrial environments.


* Experience in manufacturing methods and continuous improvement processes.


* Knowledge of mobile equipment troubleshooting or supervising jitney mechanics.
