Job Description:

Manage international freight movements for a specified region to fulfill the service requirements of all Schreiber internal and external customers.  Collaborate with Distribution, Customer Service, Sales, Purchasing, and Schreiber carrier network to ensure quality service at an economical cost throughout the delivery process.

This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The hybrid work schedule is 3 days onsite at Home Office and the remainder from home.

What you’ll do:


* Execute temperature-controlled export freight planning across all modes in TMS, in alignment with business and customer needs.


* Maintain compliance with interstate and federal traffic laws and regulations and company policies.

 


* Utilize Schreiber carrier contracts to balance cost and service to the organization in alignment with network and business plan.


* Maintain relationships with internal customers (Sales, Customer Service, DC locations) and external customers (warehouses, carriers, and customers). 


* Maintain relationships with carriers, including domestic, transload, ocean, and airfreight providers.

             


* Audit and finalize ocean bills of lading for a subset of customers and carriers.


* Manage TMS system improvements to reduce processing time, improve customer experience, and develop carrier-facing service metrics.


* Execute export filings on international shipments with US Customs.


* Review and comply with record keeping requirements per federal and company policies.  


* Identify areas of process deficiency and make improvement recommendations that result in reduced waste, lower costs and/or increased service levels.


* Resolve over, short and damage claims from carriers and customers.

 Engage with cross-functional teams to recommend and provide timely resolutions.

What you will need to succeed:


* Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, international business management, or related degree preferred.


* Minimum of two years in related transportation work experience; international transportation experience preferred.
