Manager - Enterprise Applications

In collaboration with peers in CTS and throughout ALLETE, the Manager - Enterprise Applications leads and supervises the team to design, procure, implement and maintain ALLETE's enterprise applications, ensuring reliability, availability, accuracy, security and resilience.

Working within the ALLETE enterprise architecture framework, they will collaboratively develop and execute a strategic plan for the applications they support (on-premise and cloud), ensuring they continue to address changing business needs and technology risks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Provide leadership and direction to the teams who design, procure, implement, and maintain ALLETE's enterprise applications, to ensure reliability, availability, accuracy, security, and resilience.


* Collaboratively develop and execute strategic plans for supported applications (on-premise and cloud technologies) to ensure changing business needs and technology risks are continually addressed.


* Requires high level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:


* Bachelor's or higher required.
+ Degree in software-related field preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:


* Ten years or more experience in IT, Operations, or business process improvement WITH three years or more in a supervisory role.
+ Strong technical background in project management, application design, implementation, and maintenance preferred.
+ Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards preferred (SOX, NIST/CIS, NERC CIP).
