Product Engineer
Essential Functions
* Lead and manage cross-functional product development projects, ensuring clear communication, timely execution, and accurate project documentation.
* Utilize project management tools such as TeamGuru to develop and maintain Gantt charts, monitor project timelines, and forecast potential delays or risks.
* Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of new product launches.
* Support the Business Development Manager in identifying, analyzing, and managing gross margin across product lines.
* Propose and execute margin improvement initiatives in coordination with Sourcing and Manufacturing, tracking progress and results via TeamGuru or similar tools.
* Partner with the Inside Sales team to develop and refine strategic pricing models for new and existing products.
* Work closely with Applications Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop compelling technical marketing materials including case studies, application guides, training documents, and product datasheets.
* Assist in gathering and analyzing customer feedback and competitive intelligence to support product strategy and go-to-market initiatives.
* Deliver training sessions to internal stakeholders and channel partners on product functionality, applications, and value propositions.
* Monitor field performance, warranty data, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement or market expansion.
Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data interpretation.
* Demonstrated aptitude for project management and cross-functional team coordination.
* Experience with or willingness to learn project tracking tools such as TeamGuru or similar platforms.
* Clear, confident communicator-comfortable speaking to groups, leading meetings, and facilitating discussions across departments.
* Highly detail-oriented, with a commitment to thorough documentation (e.g., meeting minutes, action tracking) and polished presentation materials.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to perform margin analysis, cost tracking, and strategic pricing models.
* Familiarity with fluid handling systems, rotating equipment, or industrial product development is preferred.
* A customer-focused mindset and a strong interest in technical marketing and commercialization.
Work Environment
* The position is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to customer sites, trade shows, or production areas.
The employee may be exposed to moderate noise levels or industrial environments during site visits.
