Manager, IT Infrastructure

OVERVIEW
The Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

This role combines managerial responsibilities with hands-on technical expertise to support and enhance the IT infrastructure environment.  The Manager, IT Infrastructure will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and network problems in a timely and accurate fashion.  Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this position serves as a key member of the Information Technology organization's leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES


* Participate as a member of the management team in alignment with company and departmental goals.


* Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future infrastructure technologies and processes.


* Assist with the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, procedures, audits, and enhancements


* Define and communicate corporate plans, procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new systems, equipment, networks, and other related technologies


* Ensure the availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers and other systems and in databases and other data repositories.


* Ensure backups of company data are running, tested, and stored in a safe and secure manner


* Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements


* Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration


* Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team


* Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts


* Establish service level agreements with business units


* Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts


* Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services


* Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures in conjunction with internal security team


* Manage and perform basic and expedited support to resolve all networking related issues


* Troubleshoot and resolve all expedited issues impacting the customers’ and businesses challenges and needs


* Proactively communicate the status, plan of action(s), and resolution(s) of issues
