Overview

Responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement and supply base for key categories, primarily focused on electronics.

This role will focus on procurement execution, identifying and onboarding qualified suppliers, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders as well as suppliers to support ongoing demand and resolve supply chain issues.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in electronics sourcing, strong analytics, forecasting and planning capabilities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where change is constant.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:


* Issue and manage purchase orders for assigned commodities, ensuring on-time delivery, cost targets, and quality requirements are met


* Forecast demand and issue scheduled purchase orders to maintain continuity of supply across assigned commodities


* Identify, vet, and onboard new suppliers ensuring they meet quality, compliance, and delivery standards


* Work closely with engineering, planning, inventory, operations, scheduling, quality, and production to understand requirements, resolve technical issues, and support timelines


* Evaluate engineering change orders (ECOs) as they arise, assess impact on supply chain, and implement procurement adjustments quickly and effectively


* Develop and execute sourcing strategies to support cost, quality, and delivery goals across categories


* Monitor key supplier metrics and lead corrective actions as necessary to address quality, service, or cost issues


* Drive cost savings through strategic negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining long-term supplier relationships


* Track market conditions, lead time trends, and risks for electronic and custom components; proactively adapt sourcing strategies to mitigate impact


* Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP system and ensure planning data reflects up-to-date supply and demand information


* Propose and recommend cost savings, value-engineering, or other improvement projects


* Respond to critical Supply Chain issues that impact availability, quality, delivery, or cost as they arise, supporting resolution and driving re-sourcing, if necessary


* Monitor supplier performance and phase out poor performing suppliers


* Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services

Experience


* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field
