Head of AI Accelerator - Executive Director - Commercial & Investment Bank

Morgan is seeking a strategic and talented candidate to lead the AI Accelerator within the Chief Analytics Office (CAO) in the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB).

The CIB CAO is responsible for accelerating the Analytics agenda globally across Markets Trading, Sales & Research, Payments, Securities Services, and Global Banking-driving the integration of advanced analytics and AI into business strategies to deliver measurable commercial impact.

The responsibilities of the Chief Analytics Office include advancing both traditional AI/ML and generative AI capabilities, identifying priorities and focusing on high-impact AI use cases, setting the GenAI strategy around LLMs and Agentic AI and reusing and scaling AI solutions across lines of business.

In addition, the organization is responsible for fostering a culture of innovation and an AI-first mindset among employees in the CIB.

A key part of the CIB CAO is the newly-created AI Accelerator, which will be tasked with accelerating the most impactful and high-priority AI programs across the CIB, which require frontier AI transformation.

To do so the team embeds into the business for the duration of each special program and works in close partnership with subject matter experts, as well as the Analytics and Technology teams in the business.

This ensures the solutions are delivered end-to-end, while ensuring responsible use of AI in compliance with internal policies, laws and regulations, with regular progress updates being shared with senior leadership / C-Suite management.

As part of its mandate, the AI Accelerator team will devote time to remain up-to-date with cutting-edge research in AI.

The Head of AI Accelerator will report directly to the CIB Chief Analytics Officer.

Job responsibilities


* Direct the AI Accelerator team in high-priority AI initiatives, hiring and managing a diverse and talented team, balancing technical excellence with tangible commercial impact.


* Foster a culture of innovation and an AI-first mindset, promoting collaboration and excellence


* Present to Senior Leadership on biggest AI opportunities and progress of the special AI programs


* Conduct thorough analysis of quantitative and qualitative data available to produce clear, actionable insights and recommendations for the business


* Collaborate with in business Analytics and Technology teams for the end-to-end delivery of the AI solutions


* Oversee the development and scaling of AI solutions across the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives


* Assimilate information and communicate complex analyses and recommendations effectively to senior executive stakeholders across the organization


* Remain up-to-date with latest progress and breakthrough in the AI community
