General Purpose:
As a CNA, you're not just helping residents with daily care—you're a vital part of their lives and well-being.
Your main goal is to deliver hands-on care, comfort, and companionship while supporting the nursing team.
Every shift brings a chance to create a safe, caring, and uplifting environment where residents feel seen, heard, and respected.
What You'll Be Doing - The Heart of the Job:
Resident Support & Comfort
* Greet new residents with warmth and help them feel welcome
* Assist residents with dressing, bathing, grooming, and daily personal care
* Keep resident rooms clean, organized, and comfortable
* Help residents settle in, unpack, and feel at home
Mealtime is Quality Time
* Assist residents during meals and describe food options for those with special needs
* Record food and fluid intake and report any changes in appetite or eating habits
* Provide after-meal care such as cleaning hands and faces and removing trays
Health Monitoring & Teamwork
* Take and record vital signs like temperature, pulse, and respiration
* Communicate any changes in resident condition to the nursing team
* Help prepare residents for medical appointments, therapy, or physical exams
* Collaborate with nurses and fellow staff to ensure consistent, quality care
Active Role in Daily Living
* Help safely lift, move, and position residents as needed
* Use assistive equipment properly and only if trained
* Change soiled clothing and linens to keep residents clean and dry
* Support residents in performing daily tasks and restorative activities
Safety & Confidentiality
* Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests
* Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
* Report any accidents, concerns, or signs of abuse immediately
* Assist with evacuation procedures during emergencies if needed

Qualifications:
* High school (10th grade) education or higher
* Valid CNA certification according to state regulations
* CPR certification preferred
* A strong sense of compassion, reliability, and teamwork
Physical & Work Environment:
This is an active, people-focused role that requires standing, walking, occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), and hands-on support.
