Technical Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:



* Lead and mentor a high-performing R&D team across web, native, and AI-enabled product development.


* Define and drive the implementation of engineering best practices, from design to deployment.


* Contribute code, perform peer reviews, and ensure high-quality deliverables across the stack.


* Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across front-end, back-end, data, and ML systems.


* Guide the team through complex technical challenges and own key architectural decisions.


* Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies, prototyping, and applying cutting-edge engineering practices.


* Own technical screening and hiring for R&D roles, ensuring a high talent bar.


* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical goals into clear roadmaps.


* Maintain responsibility for timelines, budgets, and the continuous evolution of the tech stack.


* Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Technical Expertise


* Full Stack Development: Proven experience in modern web development with React, Node.js.


* Native Development: Experience with Windows applications, .NET Core and cross-platform systems.


* Back-End Systems: Expertise in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture.


* DevOps & Cloud: Experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep).


* Data Engineering: Experience building data pipelines, working with pandas, and orchestrating data workflows.


* Python: Advanced proficiency in Python for scripting, data processing, and AI integration.


* AI/ML & LLMOps: Familiarity with LangChain, local model orchestration (e.g., Ollama, vLLM), and MLOps principles.

Leadership & Execution


* 7+ years of experience in software engineering.


* 3+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.


* Proven success in leading R&D projects from concept to production.


* Comfortable leading by example and getting into the codebase.


* Excellent problem-solving and systems-thinking skills.


* Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
