Business Analyst
Rockland Trust is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our Banking Operations team.
This position is responsible for tasks such as but not limited to participating in merger and acquisition activities, core system migrations, application testing, completing test scripts, data mapping, obtaining the appropriate management approvals, escalating issues as they arise, etc.
The individual typically will support Loan Operations mangers and/or other Loan Operations’ personnel who are responsible for operational activities in support of multiple business lines and products.
Position Responsibilities:
* Act as the Project Manager, provides consultant and expert advice to various business units with the design, development, and implementation of technical systems, including new products, services, and system enhancements.
* Create and maintain project schedules, monitor milestones completion and provide timely report of impactful issues.
* Assist with the data mapping from acquired banks or for converted data into the many vendor applications utilized within Loan Operations.
* Main functions include conducting research, providing analysis, making recommendations to aid in decision making for management.
* Review information and trends to ensure that the output of processes is achieving the desired results/controls and that services are meeting agreed upon service levels.
* Conduct maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns.
* Provide analysis and recommendations for resolution of issues and process improvement.
* Process requested maintenance on the Core system as approved by business units.
* Utilize Ivanti is the primary queue for maintenance requests ensuring timely review and approval of tickets by requestors.
* Complete thorough test scripts and testing for any system upgrades/changes or new system implementations.
* Assist in developing training material on the use of deployed applications, enhancements and reports.
* Participate in Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery exercises as needed.
* Develop business intelligence data management methodology, standards, and best practices for managing reporting.
* Maintain reporting inventory of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly internal reporting.
Prepare and produce reporting as needed.
* Perform other duties, special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
* 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
* Strong composition, editing, and written communication skills.
* Proven experience in data reporting, retrieval, and analysis tools; SharePoint experience is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
* Solid project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
