Fiber Inspector

Cannon & Cannon, Inc (an Ardurra Company) is hiring a Fiber Inspector to join the team in our Memphis, TN office.

Our Fiber team works to provide our clients with peace of mind to know that the contractors working onsite are following proper protocols and that properties are being restored after installation.

Primary Function

This position will support local fiber installation projects in the Memphis area, making a positive impact and benefiting local communities.

Typical duties for this role include observing contractor construction activities and reviewing work to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The fiber inspector will be responsible for managing inspection documents, conducting inspections and collecting field data, such as photos.

The ideal candidate should be flexible, client-focused, and capable of working both independently and under the supervision of project managers.

Typical work hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm five days a week subject to change with overtime depending on the installers schedules.

Primary Duties


* Responsibilities will include observing that the work is completed in general accordance with the drawings and specifications as defined by our client.


* Daily field reporting to include inspection reports and photos.


* Serve as a Resident Project Representative between CCI, the client, and the contractor.


* Review, log, and process inspection notes, general correspondence via emails, and photographs of sites.


* Knowledge of fiber installation projects is highly preferred.


* Strong verbal and written communication skills and familiarity with operating smart devices and computers preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements


* High School diploma or equivalent.


* 2+ years as a fiber or telecommunication inspector or other related construction experience desired.


* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related education, training, and certifications may be substituted for construction experience.


* Willingness to obtain Tennessee Department of Transportation inspection certifications if requested, certifications will be paid by CCI.
