Summary of Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision and mentorship of professional staff within a specific department, program or function, the Intern undertakes a variety of on-going activities and assigned projects of varying levels of professional complexity requiring some knowledge within an area of specialty and/or college major.

Works as a member of a department team, directly interacting with colleagues and other internal/external resources in the planning and implementation of projects.

This is a temporary, developmental position, restricted to college Juniors or Seniors whose college major and the role of the department is compatible.

The goal of the internship is to allow the student to use the skills and knowledge obtained in order to make career decisions.

Participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of this or a similar organization or department.

Develop, suggest, implement, and maintain procedures to support the efficient administration of departmental operations.
