IT Systems Administrator II

The Riverside University Health System Public Health has an opportunity for an IT Systems Administrator II (IT SA II) that will be assigned to the Moreno Valley location.

The IT SA II will be responsible for the management and maintenance of server hardware and operating systems (OS), resolve break/fix incidents and other projects or tasks as assigned.

The Department desires candidates with at least two to three years successful IT job-related experience including at least two to three years of experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Windows Server OS administration, Microsoft Domain Services (AD, DHCP, DNS, GPO), and VMware.

The IT Systems Administrator II is the journey level classification in the IT Systems Administrator series and reports to a supervisory or manager level position.

Incumbents perform the full range of duties requiring a greater technical knowledge with little supervision or guidance.

The IT Systems Administrator II is distinguished from the IT Systems Administrator I in that the latter is the entry-level in the series.

This class is further distinguished from the IT Systems Administrator III in that the latter requires incumbents to either lead an IT staff or possess and use master-level technical and analytical skills on a regular and on-going basis.

Advancement to the next level is obtained by competitive selection through an open recruitment.
