Solution Architect

Duties: Produce business and technical architecture artifacts to aid business in decision making as well as satisfy audit requirements, including but not limited to product and business solution options, product evaluations, design decision logs, architectural assessment frameworks, blueprint and pattern design, and logical and deployment architecture diagrams.

Represent a product family for technical and solution governance as well as sit on the product cabinet advising on product direction.

Develop secure and high-quality production code, as well as review and debug code.

Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business, business products, and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.

Guide evaluation of current technology and lead the evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks.

Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.

Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.

Provide feedback and propose improvements to architecture governance practices.

Contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.

This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Solutions Architect, Senior IT Consultant, Senior Software Developer, IT Architect, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Solutions Architect, Senior IT Consultant, Senior Software Developer, IT Architect, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: translating business requirements into robust and scalable integration solutions; formulating design methodologies, coding standards and defining best practices to improve quality deliverables; producing integration architecture and strategy documents; end to end project handling from requirements, estimation, design, development and production support; designing and building cloud native microservice application architectures using Java, J2EE, SpringBoot, Tomcat, Kubernetes, and relational databases including at least 1 of the following: Oracle, DB2, MySQL, or SQL Server.
