Director - Digital Accessibility
Description & Requirements
We seek a dynamic Digital Accessibility Director to lead and expand a highly visible client-facing and internal program ensuring our digital products and services are accessible to all users, including people across a broad spectrum of abilities, and in compliance with relevant laws and standards.
Your team's work mix will include both addressing internal enterprise accessibility matters as well as delivering accessibility services both stand-alone and as a part of larger professional services motions that are revenue-generating and client-facing, with the larger balance being professional services in nature.
• You will build on the progress made and continue to scale our accessibility practice with a framework of repeatable processes, templates, and toolkits to improve the efficiency of end-to-end testing and remediation projects across a global matrixed organization.
• You will own portfolio-wide compliance monitoring and reporting to stakeholders at all levels.
In this role, you will advise leadership and be a trusted partner to design, engineering, product, procurement, contracts, operations, sales, and other business teams.
• You will drive organizational change to embed design best practices into all internal development processes and offer accessibility consulting, testing, and remediation as an advisory service to external customers.
• You will be a hands-on practitioner and team leader balancing primarily matrixed assignments of your staff with some direct management across multiple project engagements to deliver professional services to our external clients, ensuring commitments on accessibility scope, schedule, and budget are accurately set and met.
• As an advisor and advocate to the organization and to our clients, you will often facilitate in-person collaboration and engagement.
You must live within commutable distance of either the Princeton, NJ, or McLean, VA corporate office and regularly work on-site.
You will be flexible when traveling to client offices and attending industry events.
You will also be flexible when working remotely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.
- Responsible for leading engagements from late stage opportunities to through successful delivery in terms of scope, deliverables, budget, commercial commitments, customer expectations, and achievement of desired outcomes.
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of work related to various digital solutions including but not limited to Web, Mobile, Social, RPA, AI, ML, and Advanced Analytics solutions within one or more field operations.
- Interact with internal stakeholders both within and outside of immediate team to achieve results and drive and execution vision and goals of the team.
