AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Knot Sawyer on First Shift to be located in West Plains, Missouri.

The Knot Sawyer operates single blade circular saws to cut wood lumber to specified lengths.    

JOB DUTIES:


* Pulls 6’ to 16’ strips of rough lumber across saw from supply table.


* Places material to be cut on saw feed table and positions work piece against back stop, synchronizing action with foot pedal-controlled ascending blade and cuts wood, while maintaining production pace.


* Examines material prior to cutting to determine what cuts will remove defects and produce maximum usable footage.


* Places usable cutoff pieces onto feed table to side matcher and defective pieces into waste conveyor belt.


* Replaces dull or damaged saw blades and lubricates machine.


* Perform any other duties assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


* Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.


* Positive and Verifiable Work History.

PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:


* Regularly standing, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements.


* Occasionally required to walk or talk and frequently required to hear.


* Frequently climbs stairs to/from workstations.


* Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


* Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment and an environment that is usually loud.


* Regularly climb stairs to/from work stations.


* Regularly work near moving mechanical parts.
