Position Summary

Terrasmart is searching for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee logistics and warehouse operations at the Selkirk, NY facility.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, yard organization, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining effective recordkeeping.

This role will also supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7AM-4PM

Primary Responsibilities


* Team Leadership: Supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure optimal productivity and adherence to company standards.


* Inbound & Outbound Shipments: Manage the scheduling, coordination, and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Work with carriers, suppliers, internal department, and other stakeholders to resolve any shipment issues.


* Inventory Accuracy & Control: Ensure the accuracy of inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation.

Implement best practices for stock organization and storage.


* Recordkeeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of shipping transactions, inventory levels, shipment status, and other related data.

Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.


* Safety and Compliance: Ensure all warehouse and logistics activities adhere to company safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Foster a safe work environment by promoting safety awareness and compliance among staff.


* Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including procurement, logistics, operations, etc., to ensure smooth coordination of warehouse activities and resolve any operational challenges.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee a team of warehouse personnel.

Qualifications:


* Education: Bachelor's in Logistics, Warehouse Operations, or related field.


* Experience: 4 years in logistics or warehouse operations, 3 years in team management.


* Skills: Teamwork, performance management, strategic thinking, ERP systems (e.g., Epicor).
