Inside Sales Manager
Summary
Pumps & Controls is seeking a dynamic and experienced Inside Sales Manager to oversee and support the inside sales team while driving customer engagement and revenue growth.
This role combines team leadership with hands-on sales responsibilities, making it ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in industrial sales and team management.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and manage the inside sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
* Serve as the primary escalation point for customer inquiries and complex sales issues.
* Develop and implement sales strategies to improve customer acquisition and retention.
* Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and field sales to ensure seamless customer service.
* Oversee the preparation of quotes, proposals, and order processing.
* Maintain and optimize CRM usage across the team to ensure accurate sales tracking and reporting.
* Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing development for the inside sales team.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years of experience in inside sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technical product sales preferred.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in ERP (Profit 21, NetSuite, Dynamics), CRM (Salesforce), and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to analyze sales data and make strategic decisions.
* Knowledge of industrial pumps and/or instruments is a plus.
