Accounts Payable Manager
Who We Are Looking For
As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our company's AP Operations.
This role is responsible for managing the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices and employee expense reports, maintaining compliance with internal controls and company policies, and improving processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the AP.
What You Will Work On
* Supervise and lead the accounts payable team, in office and remotely, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and daily support.
* Oversee the full AP cycle, including vendor invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, and month-end close activities.
* Review and verify Accounts Payable Associates are accurately posting Accounts Payable transactions to the General Ledger
* Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors while optimizing cash flow and taking advantage of early payment discounts where applicable.
* Maintain accurate vendor records and manage vendor relationships to resolve any discrepancies or disputes.
* Develop and enforce AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company guidelines.
* Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger and prepare monthly reports on AP metrics.
* Collaborate with procurement and other departments to streamline purchasing and payment processes.
* Assist in audits by providing required documentation and support.
* Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
* Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounts payable processes.
* Work closely with billing team to ensure vendor/supplier invoices are validated as billable items
* Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to accounts payable.
What You Will Bring
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook and Word)
* A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
* Minimum of 5 years experience as accounts payable manager
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
* Must be reliable and comfortable meeting tight deadlines
* Experience with WinTeam ERP or security service contractor system preferred but not essential
* Multicompany experience preferred but not required
