Assistant Head of Strength & Conditioning, Soccer

Position Summary:

The Assistant Head of Strength & Conditioning, Soccer leads the development and execution of training programs for soccer athletes of all ages and skill levels, while also supporting other sports and contributing to department leadership.

This role plays a key part in shaping the performance strategy for one of the world’s top youth soccer academies, mentoring coaches, collaborating with sport and performance staff, and building the physical and mental resilience of athletes pursuing college, pro, and national team goals.

Position Responsibilities:

Coach and Program


* Design and implement performance programs tailored to the physical demands of soccer


* Deliver high-quality training in strength, speed, agility, and recovery


* Adjust plans based on data, coach feedback, and developmental needs

Lead and Mentor


* Guide assistant S&C coaches—helping them sharpen their craft


* Collaborate with soccer staff to integrate training into the sport environment


* Be a voice of reason, confidence, and energy that athletes and staff can rely on


* Establish yourself as a go-to leader within our APD (Athletic & Personal Development) team

Communicate and Collaborate


* Keep parents, coaches, and athletes informed and aligned


* Use the integrated Teamworks Platform to track and communicate progress


* Partner with nutrition, mental conditioning, and sports medicine teams

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


* Thrives in high-performance, high-responsibility environments

* Bachelor’s in kinesiology or related field


* CSCS (or equivalent)


* 5+ years experience designing and delivering S&C programs, preferably in soccer


* Prior Soccer experience


* Strong communicator, adaptable thinker, lifelong learner

Preferred Skills:


* Master’s degree


* Experience with youth development models


* Comfortable using sport science tools and interpreting performance data


* Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:


* Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.


* Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.


* Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.


* Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
