The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI's salary range for this position.
Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance.
Base salary is one component of OSI's overall total rewards package.
Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for leading the company's domestic tax planning and compliance activities by working closely with business partners, third party vendors, departmental staff, and other cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective tax strategies, prepare returns, coordinate indirect tax, manage audits, consolidate foreign entity reporting, and manage other related tax activities.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
* Job manages a team, has authority to hire and performance-manage the team.
* Job leads/supervises/manages 1-5 employees.
* Establish, administer, oversee, and maintain tax policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance across all tax obligations including, but not limited to, income tax preparation, foreign entity reporting, sales and use tax, property tax, excise tax, owner/shareholder preparations, and audit management.
* Manage the completion of all domestic returns by providing guidance and direction to domestic staff as well as third party vendors.
* Work closely with third party vendors to develop short- and long-term tax strategies; accurately communicate the organization's plans, needs, and concerns to vendors and translate the strategies to actionable implementations.
* Coordinate merger and acquisition taxation due diligence and post-acquisition activities working closely with third party vendors to schedule due diligence activities, analyze results, make recommendations, and plan strategy.
* Investigate, research, and analyze tax issues at all levels and provide innovative, compliant, and effective solutions.
* Manage third party vendors engaged to support the organization's tax activities, and other ad hoc assignments; evaluate service quality, review and approve invoices, provide feedback and follow up on identified issues, and make recommendations to management on the selection or retention of vendors.
