Analyst, Tax

The Tax Analyst in the Ad Valorem tax group is responsible for contributing to the development of tax strategies to help minimize the property tax liability for the company; keeping apprised of current assessment practices and monitoring legislation that could affect the company.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


* Prepares assigned tax returns.


* Processing tax appraisal notices.


* Maintains property tax database.


* Gathers fixed asset data and planning strategies for minimization of property tax expense.


* Will also be required to interact with other departments within the Company.


* Travel flexibility is required.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:


* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance or Accounting is required.


* A minimum of 0-5 years of experience in the property tax industry.


* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing, are required.


* Strong analytical and research skills are required.


* Proficiency with spreadsheet and database applications is required.


* A strong willingness to participate in a high energy team environment is preferred.


* Strong negotiating skills is preferred.


* Willingness and ability to travel up to 5% of the time is required.
