Internal Consulting Strategic Initiatives - Evernorth Health Services (Hybrid)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Evernorth Strategic Initiatives team functions as an internal consulting organization and provides broad support on senior-leader sponsored and high-impact/cross-functional programs across Evernorth.

This role would lead strategic planning projects, provide content/idea creation, work cross-functionally, develop strategic planning communications (verbal and written), and be responsible for directing, managing and synthesizing strategic topics.

Work may report through a senior-level functional leader and will require extensive collaboration with one or more teams within the Evernorth or the broader Cigna organization.

The role executes and enables the strategy set by senior management and integrates policy and/or programs across several departments, and identifies significant improvement opportunities, innovation opportunities, and facilitates cross-business unit initiatives including business development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


* Engage with executive stakeholders - proactively build relationships with senior leaders across business units to understand strategic needs, help identify opportunities, and if warranted scope new engagements.


* Facilitate decision making and alignment - design and lead executive-level steering committees, workshops, and/ or working sessions to align cross-functional teams to drive strategy into action


* Lead high-impact programs - work with business stakeholders to manage the end-to-end execution of some of the company's most complex and strategically significantly initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, timely delivery, and measurable outcomes.


* Provides business direction for a team of program or project resources and/or external consultants, coaches individuals on performance


* Serve as a thought partner - act as a trusted advisor to executives by providing strategic counsel, surfacing emerging issues, and offering perspective on business challenges and opportunities.


* Manage stakeholder communications - develop and deliver high-quality presentations, reports, and updates tailored to a variety of audiences including senior executives


* Support internal team development - contribute to the evolution of the SPO team by refining methodologies, tools, and knowledge sharing practices


* Promote continuous improvement - identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement, internal capacity building, and scaling best practice across the SPO team


* Mentor and guide team members - provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and quality assurance for team members on team projects.


* Analyzes complex situations, distillation of the issues into strategic options and driving to appropriate conclusions


* Manages tight deadlines, scope and converging opinions to solutions in timely manner.
