About the role: 

At Vantage, the SVP, Head of US Financial Institutions will hold a national leadership role responsible for managing the Financial Institutions team and portfolio.

Key responsibilities include driving production, maintaining underwriting standards, and balancing capital utilization across different business segments.

This role reports to our Head of Financial Lines and is a hybrid opportunity based in Vantage’s New York City (midtown) office.  

The base salary expectation for this role is between $275,000 and $325,000.

The actual base salary for the selected candidate may be higher, commensurate with the candidate's experience and expectations.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities: 


* Produce and execute a business plan that demonstrates profitable results for the US Financial Institutions portfolio. 



* Lead a dynamic and high-performing underwriting team, cultivating a positive and productive work environment that embodies Vantage Values. 



* Underwrite and develop a portfolio of Financial Institutions products, with a quantified segmentation view. 



* Create a KPI-driven framework to manage and assess portfolio production and performance. 



* Collaborate and contribute to pricing and exposure management in collaboration with the pricing actuarial team. 



* Establish and enforce underwriting guidelines and standards. 



* Develop an executable marketing and distribution strategy in collaboration with the Distribution team. 



* Articulate underwriting strategy and negotiate with treaty reinsurers. 



* Convey the Vantage value proposition to our trading partners and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all products and services across the organization. 



* Identify areas of opportunity and lead creation and execution of growth strategies.
