Talent Acquisition and University Relations Specialist

As the Talent Acquisition & University Relations Specialist for Core Specialty, you will recruit for open requisitions and facilitate the full life cycle of a hire.
You will be responsible for leading the recruiting efforts for our intern and early career programs as well as building university relationships.
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
* Recruitment of open positions for a wide variety of roles which include - Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting, Operational support, etc.
* Coordinate with Hiring Managers to ensure a smooth and compliant recruitment process.
* Handle recruitment activities which include posting of requisition on job boards, screening candidates, schedule interviews, complete and deliver offer letters, initiate background checks, and complete all new hire paperwork.
* Coordinate the background check process for all new hires.
* Actively source candidates through a variety of methods.
* Provide positive candidate experience and ongoing communication regarding status throughout all stages of the recruiting process.
* Build strong relationships with hiring managers by gaining a true understanding of our business, products, and markets to ensure we hire the best talent for our organization.
* Track candidate information and maintain up-to-date candidate status information in our Talent Acquisition system (Workday)
* Comply with state job posting laws around salary transparency and other hiring practices.
* Lead University Relations activities and ensure business leader involvement in the selection of the most qualified applicants for these competitive programs.
* Ensure Core Specialty has a presence at select university career fairs and attend them as needed.
* Manage marketing materials, giveaways, and other branded material for career fairs and other campus events.
* Oversee the management of internal and external partnerships.
This includes partnership with University/College Career Placement offices, WSIA and internal stakeholders.
* Facilitate and participate in career fairs and other venues to recruit early career talent.
* Select internal leaders and employees to participate in career fairs and other early career events. Ensure those participating understand their roles and are clear on what is expected of them.
* Manage recruiting calendar of events to ensure we meet target intern and program start dates.
* Assist with process improvement initiatives.
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
* Must have knowledge of legal hiring practices.
* Project Management skills
* Strong execution skills (planning and organizing)
Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 3 plus years of experience managing full-cycle recruiting, and sourcing, either in-house or in a professional agency.
