Claims Adjuster
Job Description:
Summary
The Claims Adjuster is responsible for managing and reviewing all damage utility claims or 3rd party claims for the entire division.
This position will be required to attend multiple claims meetings with our customers and will need to prepare documentation to present all pertinent information for each individual damage claim.
Responsibilities
* Follow all company and client safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures
* Serve the customer, and exceed their expectations, as they are our first priority
* Manage and process client invoices in a timely manner
* Provide fiscal accruals of all expenses related to damages
* Provide a monthly summary noting any trends or patterns of all damages
* Keep a rolling balance of all unpaid fines and damages
* Adjust accrual cost based on prior data received
* Review completed damage reports for accuracy and ensure the reports provide all necessary pertinent facts to help support our findings
* Oversee the damage reporting process for internal employees
* File all reports with the Railroad Commission of Texas as required by State’s law
* Attend Claims meetings with Client as required
* Attend Meetings with Locators as required
* Continually promote damage prevention awareness through various communication forms
Requirements
* High School diploma or equivalent required
* 2+ years of college coursework preferred
* 2+ years of utility locating is strongly preferred
* Strong computer skills
* Intermediate knowledge in both Microsoft Excel and Word
