Director, Regional Sales
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents of Operations, Regional Finance Directors, and General Managers to lead effective sales planning, forecasting, and execution of strategies and tactics across a designated region or geography.
Drive the achievement of key performance metrics, including Regional Revenue and EBITDA targets, new business development goals, critical site fulfillment, new site launches, contract negotiations, and successful commercialization-while ensuring high levels of client retention and satisfaction.
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Business Development Managers, providing coaching and training to ensure consistent results at the site, district, and regional levels.
This position, based in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, or Texas, supports the Central U.S.
region and requires approximately 50% travel.
Business Development
* Achieve region sales, revenue and EBITDA, and objectives annually
* Develop and drive strategy with the region VPs and General Managers to up-sell existing accounts
* Identify, develop, negotiate, and commercialize strategic new business opportunities
Strategic Planning & Market Development
* Identify/build strategic plan for regional new site opportunities (Acquisition, Expansion, or Greenfield)
* Develop specific regional marketing plans to ensure revenue growth in all products and facilities
Customer Retention and Satisfaction
* Conduct formal Quarterly Business Reviews with Region Customers
* Review and ensure Profile Management Consistency, Volume Guarantees, and Current Rates
Team Management and Development
* Provide direct training and coaching to region Business Development Managers
What Experience and Education You Need:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing or equivalent training in Business or Sales Management
* Relative industry experience including distribution, warehousing, logistics, transportation, CPG, etc.
and understand common business practices and standards
* Effective sales management skills with the ability to develop and manage regional strategies for pipeline development
* Proven ability in developing creative solutions for potential and current customers
* Experienced in Microsoft Office tools and enterprise-specific platforms
* Travel Estimated at 50%
