As a Customs Manager at RXO, you will facilitate and prepare customs entries, ensuring they are properly documented, classified and compliant with federal regulations.

What your day-to-day will look like:


* Prepare customs entries for all import shipments to be submitted to and released from U.S.

Customs in a timely manner


* Document the review and assess accuracy by verifying country of origin/export, IOR, terms of sale and value to ensure compliance with federal regulation requirements


* Ensure that all entries are properly classified by using company profiles, Customs Rulings Online Search System (CROSS), the internet and communicating with the importer of record



* Develop and maintain customer profiles based on the customer's shipment history; coordinate with customers to classify new commodities according to HTS


* Answer any Brokerage-related inquiries both internally and externally


* Assist with compliance matters, including verifying power of attorney, conducting in-depth research, and developing classification


* Educate customers on Brokerage operations to help increase sales

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


* Customs Brokerage license


* 4 years of relevant experience


* Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project), including creating complex formulas in Excel


* Solid knowledge of customs and participating government agency regulations, and the harmonized tariff schedule



* Knowledge of accounting functions and relative information retrieval

It’d be great if you also have:


* Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent related work or military experience


* 2 years of experience in a supervisory or specialist role


* Project management experience



* Experience handling customer escalations and root cause analysis
