Outlet Store Cashier

The Outlet Store Cashier is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to our customers and operating the cash register and scale correctly.

This position maintains our outlet store environment with prompt and accurate product placement, stock rotation and salvage.

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:

Responsible for accurate handling of all types of tenders.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1.

Protects company assets by correctly ringing up merchandise, using appropriate discounts, properly utilize register scales for merchandise sold by the lb., and following established cash handling procedures.

2.

Responsible for answering the telephone in a professional manner and directing calls to the appropriate party.

3.

Observes and communicates to outlet store management about wait lines at the register, issues with merchandise levels or standards, need for supplies and suggests ideas for process improvement.

4.

Accurately and efficiently rotates merchandise tables, salvage, price and move furniture.

5.

Consistently provides exceptional customer service answering questions and alerting management with customer concerns or when customers need additional support.

6.

Follows proper etiquette when using the paging system and quickly responds to pages to service customers.

7.

Familiar with and conveys Goodwill's outlet store promotions and services to effectively answer inquiries and offer information about Goodwill to customers.

8.

Maintain the outlet store environment standards to ensure a clean, friendly and safe environment for all internal & external customers.

9.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.

Retail or production experience preferred.

2.

Work varied schedule and flexible hours.
