PL Underwriting Sales Representative

Our ISO,Personal Lines Sales Team is seeking a creative and entrepreneurially-mindedAccount Executive, to be the lead in identifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities withinan assignedU.S.account territory that covers accounts that range from established national insurers to emerging insuretechs or established producers including brokerages, MGA's and agencies that may write either or both of Personal lines business.

If you have a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding annual new & existing business sales and activity goals,haveexperience in consultative salesand excel at buildinglong-lasting and trustingrelationships,wewant to talk to you!

Our main office is located in Jersey City, NJ but this is a remote position that would involve working from home and traveling to customer locations.



* Must have a minimum of three years' experience and successful track record within a complex sales environment.


* Proven successful sales history in insurance software, data, geospatial and/or predictive modeling software solutions a plus


* Solid understanding and experience of Property Casualty Insurance.

Working knowledge of insurance functions especially Underwriting, Marketing, Product Development, Actuarial, Modeling is a plus, as is knowledge across both Personal lines


* Strategic thinker and possess a structured approach to selling that includes strong prospecting skills and the ability to sell based on business value


* Comfortable talking to a wide range of decision influencers and can coordinate and secure buy-in from internal stakeholders and motivators


* Able to quickly gain knowledge of your customers' business and articulate Verisk's value proposition of multiple products across different operations within their organization


* Able to quickly understand the customer decision-making process and influence key decision makers


* Strong business knowledge and acumen


* Strong Sales Hygiene - Examples include; timeliness and accuracy of sales pipeline, call reports, client correspondence and follow-up and expense reporting


* Experience with working in a team selling environment


* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university


* Professional Training Program experience a plus


* Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.com


* Self-starter with the ability to work from a remote home office effectively


* Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
