Clinic Registration and Scheduling Specialist

Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital seeks a Clinic Registration and Scheduling Specialist for their Radiology department responsible for providing positive customer service for on-site clinic patient registration and check-in for pre-scheduled appointments.

On site scheduling of follow-up appointments and priority / specialty evaluations, and scheduling changes within 48 hrs.

Responsibilities include:


* Assist with flow of patients from check in to clinical team.

Communication with the scheduling center and leadership as indicated for positive outcomes and customer service.


* Assist with workflow as needed to process continued authorizations, clinical certifications, discharges/close episodes, charity applications, ordering supplies, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:


* Preferred: Associates Degree.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:


* Preferred: Certified Revenue Cycle Representative or Certified Patient Access Specialist (HBI).

Technical Requirements:


* Minimum: Basic MS Word, Outlook and Excel skills; 35 wpm keyboard/typing speed.


* Preferred: MS Office Suite, medical terminology, Spanish speaking.

Years of Related Work Experience:


* Minimum: 1 year of experience working in a healthcare office setting.


* Preferred: 2 years of related work experience in a healthcare environment, with a working knowledge of medical terminology.
