Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:
* Plan, organize and control the process engineering support/activities to the operations.
This include;
+ Implement a sound program of process and center-lining to ensure continual improvement.
+ Adopt and implement LEAN Manufacturing principles specially focused on 5S.
+ Drive technology programs and process specialization to ensure machines run on good process conditions as well as machines produce good product quality.
+ Ensure operations run-to-target for the line(s)
* Implement Quick Change Overs (QCO) to ensure minimum delay time of changeover as well as minimum time of post-changeover recovery.
* Proactively assisting the production crews in trouble shooting the production problem such as lower waste, delay and negative deviation to the quality target at the same time achieved productivity objectives (Rate of Operation: su/hr, OEE).
* Work closely with the maintenance and engineering department to achieve high equipment reliability uptime and minimize labour and material.
* Plan, organize and support the innovations to establish good run settings through the trials such as PSR, RSR and MSR activities.
Trials scope involves cost savings, centerlinings, machine capability, projects and new raw materials.
* Control and update BOM based guidance from R&E leads.
* Daily spot check and take action if required on safety requirements (hat, ear plug, shoes, mask, gloves, glasses, lock out in maintenance and changeover)
* Daily spot check on work permit of any contractor working on the line and report any hazards.
* To lead the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any machine’s breakdowns (repeat/chronic issues, pareto of minor stops, pareto of unplanned stops)
* Utilizing Performance Assessment system and tools in coaching for performance, career development and performance management to ensure employees are developed to their full potential through coaching, appropriate training and education, goal setting and career development to add value to the company performance and to encourage retention of employees.
* Promote, lead and implement WAVE & ECS saving effort to ensure the department meet the required KPI.
* Generating SOPs and ensuring that all practices at assets area in accordance with SOP to achieve good manufacturing practices for maximum utilization of assets.
