CADD Technician I, Bridges
DESCRIPTION
As a Bridge CAD Designer, you will play a key role in supporting bridge and structural engineering projects by preparing detailed drawings and plans using CAD software.
You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop design solutions for a variety of transportation infrastructure projects, including highway bridges, rail structures, and pedestrian crossings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop detailed bridge and structural drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or Civil 3D.
* Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to produce accurate design documents.
* Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, sections, and details.
* Coordinate with engineers, drafters, and other disciplines to ensure design consistency and quality.
* Maintain CAD standards and adhere to project-specific requirements.
* Support quantity take-offs and cost estimates as needed.
* Participate in quality control reviews and revisions.
QUALIFICATIONS
* GED or High School Diploma
* Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in drafting/design preferred.
* Utilize computer skills including PDF editing software; Microsoft Office, and Computer-Aided Drafting (MicroStation preferred).
* Familiarity with AASHTO and state DOT standards preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
COMPENSATION
The hourly rate for this role is $25.00-$32.00. This will be dependent on the skills of the incoming candidate
